Representing Redstone Arsenal in the nation’s premier 10-mile road race since 2006.
We are a team of runners from Huntsville, Alabama, who proudly carry the Redstone Arsenal name to Washington, D.C. each fall to compete in the Army Ten Miler — one of the largest and most prestigious 10-mile road races in the world.
Who We Are
Our roster is built from the Redstone Arsenal community: active duty Soldiers, Department of Defense civilians, contractors, family members, and friends who share a love of running and a desire to compete on a national stage. We field competitive teams every year in two divisions of the race, and we’ve been one of the most consistently successful programs in the field for nearly two decades.
A team in the Army Ten Miler consists of four scoring runners; their combined finish times determine the team result. That format rewards both speed at the front and depth across the roster — which is why we recruit broadly and train together throughout the summer leading up to race day in October.
Our Mission
To represent Redstone Arsenal with excellence, build camaraderie among our running community, and bring home eagle trophies to Huntsville every fall.
The Army Ten Miler
The Army Ten Miler is hosted annually by the United States Army and held each October in Washington, D.C. The race starts and finishes at the Pentagon and draws roughly 35,000 runners from around the world. Beyond the open race, the event features competitive team divisions for military commands, federal agencies, international militaries, and civilian groups — and that’s where we make our mark.
Two Divisions, One Team
Each year, Redstone fields squads in two divisions:
Government Agency Division — federal employees and military personnel from Redstone Arsenal. We have won this division 16 times, most recently in 2025.
All Comers Division — competing against the deepest civilian and corporate fields in the race. We have won this division 14 times.
Our Track Record
16 Government Agency Division championships
14 All Comers Division championships
3:41:42 — fastest Government Agency team time (2011)
3:44:49 — fastest All Comers team time (2024)
49:43 — fastest individual scoring time, Brandon York (2013)
The 2020–2022 races were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic; we returned to the start line in 2023 and have continued our winning tradition every year since.

Who Can Join
If you live or work in the Huntsville/Madison area and you love to run, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome runners of every level:
Team runners — anyone willing to wear the Redstone singlet and represent the team in the All Comers field. We field two teams every year.
Scoring runners - we typically try to have about 8 guys that average sub 60min for the 10 mile race.
To run on a Redstone team, you must (1) have some connection to the federal government or the defense contracting world — military, DoD civilian, contractor, or a close family member — and (2) be from the Huntsville area. That keeps the team rooted in the community we represent.
